1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham (“the Council”) proposes to make the above Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the disabled resident parking places Orders would be to designate disabled resident parking places for use only by persons who are resident within the East Ham, East Ham South West, Forest Gate, Forest Gate North, Little Ilford, Market Street, Stratford and Upton Park Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs), who meet the current criteria for the provision of parking places for disabled persons and who have been issued disabled resident parking permits for their vehicles. Certain other vehicles may wait in the parking places in certain circumstances, e.g., to load or unload goods or pick up or set down passengers. A single parking place would be designated at each of the locations listed below. (NOTE – At locations where an ‘overlap’ is also stated, the proposed parking place would overlap the frontage of the adjacent property numbers, by up to 1 metre):-

East Ham Controlled Parking Zone – Nos. 1 & 3 Lincoln Road E7 and No. 48 Northfield Road E6 (overlaps Nos. 46 & 50);

East Ham South West Controlled Parking Zone - No. 64 Denbigh Road E6 (overlaps Nos. 62 & 66);

Forest Gate Controlled Parking Zone - Windsor Road E7 (outside Nos. 48 to 53 Davidson Terraces);

Forest Gate North Controlled Parking Zone - Nos. 10 & 12 Essex Street E7;

Little Ilford Controlled Parking Zone - Nos. 50 to 64 Daines Close E12 and Grantham Road E12 (opposite Nos. 1 to 9 Ogden House, Ogden House Access Road);

Market Street Controlled Parking Zone - Barking Road E6 (Nos. 27 to 31 Dukes Court Cul-de-sac), No. 16 Ernald Avenue E6 and No. 1 Southchurch Road E6 (immediately west and opposite);

Stratford Controlled Parking Zone - Dorset Place E15 (South side, eastern extremity); and

Upton Park Controlled Parking Zone - Stukeley Road E13 (adjacent to the flank wall of No. 181 Neville Road) and No. 6 Tudor Road E6.

3. The general effect of the disabled persons’ community parking Order would be to designate a disabled persons’ parking place for use by Disabled (Blue) Badge holders only outside Nos. 8 and 9 Wilmer Lea Close (Stratford CPZ) operating Monday to Saturday, 8am-6:30pm (Max stay 2 Hours).

4. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders can be made available for inspection during normal office hours on Monday to Friday by telephoning 020 3373 6415, or by emailing traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk, or can be inspected at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, until six weeks after the date on which the Orders are made or until the proposed Orders are withdrawn, as appropriate.

6. All objections and other representations relating to the proposed Orders must be made in writing by 28 June 2023. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. They should be sent to the Interim Corporate Director of Environment & Sustainable Transport, London be made available for inspection during normal office hours on Monday to Friday by telephoning 020 3373 6415, or by emailing traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk, or can be inspected at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, until six weeks after the date on which the Orders are made or until the proposed Borough of Newham, 3rd Floor West, Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road, London E16 2QU or by email to traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk.

7. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any letter or email sent to the Council in response to this Notice may be subject to publication or disclosure, or both, including communication to other persons affected.
