The Department of Health has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (No. 2) (Amendment No. 10) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020", (S.R. 2020 No. 225) which came into operation at 9.30 p.m. on 18th October 2020.

This rule amends some errors in previous regulations, permit sports and massage therapy to be provided to elite athletes, provide that dance of any type shall be deemed to be a form of exercise or sport, and provide exemptions to restrictions for education, training, blood donation, motorcycle driving instruction, use of touring caravans in an emergency and for ferries.
