NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925

CARILLION GROUP OF THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY PENSION SCHEME

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 that Vidett Trustee Services Limited acting as the Group Trustee (the "Group Trustee") of the Carillion Group of the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme (the "Carillion Group" and the "ESPS" respectively), and Electricity Pensions Trustee Limited acting as the Scheme Trustee of ESPS (the "Scheme Trustee"), are intending to distribute all of the assets of the Carillion Group in accordance with its governing documentation and overriding law. This will be achieved by securing all members' defined benefits (or final salary benefits) by the purchase of immediate and deferred annuity policies with an insurance company.

The Carillion Group was formerly known as the Alfred McAlpine Group of the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme and, prior to that, the Eastern Contracting Group of the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme.

The Carillion Group is part of the ESPS. The ESPS is a sector-wide pension scheme which is split into a number of segregated pension arrangements or "Groups". The Scheme Trustee is the central trustee of the ESPS. Each Group has a Principal Employer and Group Trustee.

This notice only relates to the Carillion Group and not the ESPS more generally.

The following individuals are requested to write to both the Group Trustee and the Scheme Trustee, at the addresses given below, on or before 11 October 2024:

1. any employee or former employee of Carillion Services Limited (or any other employer who they believe participated in the Carillion Group) who also: (a) believes that they are a member of the Carillion Group; (b) is not already receiving a pension in respect of their membership of the Carillion Group; and (c) has not received any correspondence from the Group Trustee or the Scheme Trustee within the last 12 months;

2. any person who believes themselves to be a beneficiary of the Carillion Group as the widow, widower, child or dependant of a deceased member of the Carillion Group; and

3. any other person who believes they have a claim against, or an interest in, the Carillion Group.

In relation to point 1 above, the employers who participated in the Carillion Group may include but are not limited to any Carillion, Woodhelm, Tarmac, Mackwest, Marchwiel, Optimum Transport, Kennedy, Stiell, Franklin Controls, McAlpine, AMPL, Lee Enterprises, J.F. Miller, Conquest Contractors, Eastern Contracting, Tyco Integrated Systems, G.M. Briton, C.D.C. (Contractors) or Giveshaw company.

Claimants should provide full details of the benefits to which they believe they are entitled, alongside their full name, address, date of birth, National Insurance number and either details of when they were members of the Carillion Group or full details of the deceased member to which their claim relates. Please quote the Carillion Group's name in all correspondence.

Claimants need not write if they have received correspondence from the Group Trustee or the Scheme Trustee within the last 12 months. In addition, any person who has transferred their benefits out of the Carillion Group need not take any action because these persons do not have any benefits in the Carillion Group.

After 11 October 2024, the Group Trustee and the Scheme Trustee will proceed to deal with the assets of the Carillion Group among the persons entitled to them, having regard only to the claims and interests of which they have prior notice and, in relation to the assets used for such distribution, the Group Trustee and the Scheme Trustee will not be liable to any person or persons for a claim of which they do not have notice.
