THE ISLINGTON (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. 22) ORDER 2024

THE ISLINGTON (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO. 22) ORDER 2024

1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington made the above-mentioned Orders on 15 August 2024 under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, and of all other powers thereunto enabling.

2) The general effect of the Orders which will come into effect on 16 August 2024 would be to:

(a) introduce pairs of electric vehicle charging places in the following locations:

i. Ardilaun Road, the western side, adjacent to No. 48 Northolme Road;

ii. Beversbrook Road, the north-eastern side, adjacent to No. 53 Mercers Road;

iii. Duncan Street, the south-western side, adjacent to No. 32 Duncan Terrace;

iv. Grosvenor Avenue, the north-western side, opposite No. 151 Grosvenor Avenue;

v. Highbury Hill, the north-eastern side, outside Nos. 141 – 143 Highbury Hill;

vi. Huddleston Road, the south-western side, opposite Nos. 72 – 74 Huddleston Road;

vii. Junction Road, the south-eastern side, outside Nos. 137 – 139 Junction Road;

viii. Marlborough Road, the south-eastern side, opposite Nos. 112 – 116 Marlborough Road;

ix. Mount View Road, the south-eastern side, beginning 2.4 metres north of its junction with Highlands Close;

x. Quick Street, the north-western side, adjacent to No. 15 Elia Street;

xi. Ronalds Road, the southern side, opposite No. 71 Ronalds Road;

xii. Tavistock Terrace, the north-western side, adjacent to No. 505 Holloway Road; and

xiii. Warltersville Road, the northern side, beginning 7.5 metres east of its junction with Hillrise Road.

(b) amend existing parking places and waiting and loading restrictions to allow for the introduction of the electric vehicle places in the locations described in item 2(a).

(c) to make some minor amendments to the map schedules to ensure they accurately reflect on-street operation (no changes will be made on-street as part of this amendment).

3) A copy of the made Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection. 4) Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provisions contained therein on the grounds that it or they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may make application for the purpose to the High Court within six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made.
