STOPPING-UP – SYDENHAM BY-PASS, BELFAST

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) gives notice of its intention to make an Order under Article 68 of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993, the effect of which would be to stop-up two lengths of Sydenham By-Pass, Belfast at –

• the north-west side of the city bound carriageway opposite the pedestrian entrance to Sydenham Railway Station and adjacent to Sydenham Footbridge for a distance of 57.5. metres in a south-westerly direction; and

• the south-east side of the country bound carriageway opposite the south-west entrance of turning pocket leading to Belfast Yacht Club (south-west of Sydenham Footbridge) for a distance of 10.5 metres in north-easterly direction.

The lengths of road to be stopped-up are delineated on a map which, together with a copy of a draft order, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period 11th September 2024 to 21st October 2024 at DfI Roads Eastern Division, Lands Branch, Annexe 7, Castle Buildings, Stormont Estate, Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast, BT4 3SQ.

Inspection of the draft Order and map is by appointment only which can be arranged either by email to lands.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) on 0300 200 7899.

Details may also be viewed online at www.infrastructure-ni.gov.uk/consultations Any person may, within the period above, object to the proposal by writing to the Department at DfI Roads Eastern Division at the address above, or by emailing lands.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk stating the grounds of the objection.
