Air Quality Management Order

Environment (Northern Ireland) Order 2002 Part III, Article 12(1)

Ballymoney Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by Part III, Article 12(1) of the Environment (Northern Ireland) Order 2002, hereby makes the following Order: -

1. This Order may be cited as the Ballymoney Borough Council Air Quality Management Order No 1 Ballymoney Town.
2. This Order and the Ballymoney Town Air Quality Management Area designated there under shall come into effect on 1st September 2005.
3. The Area to be designated as an Air Quality Management Area is displayed in map form and can be viewed at Ballymoney Borough Council, Riada House, 14 Charles Street, Ballymoney, by visiting the website at www.ballymoney.gov.uk, or by contacting Health & Environmental Services Department on 028 2766 0257.

The designated air quality management areas incorporate dwellings in the Glebeside Estate and surrounding areas bounded by the Frosses Road, Knock Road, Market Street, Victoria Street, Union Street, Meeting House Street, Rodeing Foot and the Railway Line between Rodeing Foot and A26 Frosses Road.

The Area is designated in relation to a breach of the Particulate Matter (PM10) daily mean objective as specified in the Air Quality Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003.

This Order shall remain in force until it is varied or revoked by a subsequent Order.
