NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (As Amended), that applications have been made to SEPA by Scottish Water for consent to discharge the following:

WPC/N/72871

304m3 per dayof treated sewage effluent to Dunnet Bay at NGR ND 1948 6908 from Castletown WwTW, Castletown, Thurso, Caithness.

WPC/N/72872

Screened sewage and surface water discharged under storm conditions to Dunnet Bay at NGR 1948 6908 from Castletown WwTW, (CSO), Castletown, Thurso, Caithness.

Any person who wishes to make representations about these applications should do so in writing to The Registrar, SEPA, Graesser House, Fodderty Way, Dingwall IV15 9XB not later than 4 October 2005 quoting reference WPC/N/72871 & WPC/N/72872.

Copies of the applications may be inspected, free of charge, at the above address between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday (except local and national holidays) or by prior arrangement with SEPA’s Thurso office, Thurso Business Park, Thurso KW14 7XW.
