NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (As Amended), that applications have been made to SEPA by Scottish Water for consent to discharge the following:

WPC/N/72975

14.4 m3 per day of domestic wastewater and sewage to Bay of Pierowall at NGR HY 4393 4861 from Lastigar Septic Tanks, Pierowall, Westray, Orkeny.

WPC/N/72976

5.11 m3 per day of domestic wastewater and sewage to Bay of Pierowall at NGR HY 4390 4848 from Beechgrove Septic Tanks, Pierowall, Westray, Orkney.

Any person who wishes to make representations about these applications should do so in writing to the Senior Registry Officer, SEPA Dingwall Office, Graesser House, Fodderty Way, Dingwall Business Park, Dingwall IV15 not later than 1 November 2005 quoting reference WPC/N/72975 or WPC/N/72976.

Copies of the applications may be inspected free of charge, at the above address between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday (except local and national holidays) or by prior arrangement with SEPA’s Orkney office, Norlantic House, Scott’s Road, Kirkwall, Orkney KW15 1RE.
