Stopping-up of Highways at Burnley

Notice is hereby given that a local inquiry is to be held in connection with the proposal of the Secretary of State for Transport, to make an Order under section 247 authorising the stopping-up of Brun Street, a length of Bethesda Street, an unnamed highway running between Curzon Street and Bethesda Street, a part of Brick Street, and a length of the footway on the north-westerly side of Curzon Street, at Burnley.   If authorised the stopping-up would enable development consisting of retail units and multi-storey car parks on land bounded by Brown Street and Curzon Street, Burnley.   The inquiry will be held at the Town Hall, Manchester Road, Burnley, on Tuesday, 20th January 1998, at 10 a.m., by Dr. C.
