The Lambeth (Free Parking Places) (Bicycles) (No. 1) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Lambeth, on 16th February 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6, 63 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.   The general nature and effect of the Order will be to provide cycle parking facilities in Belvedere Road and Upper Ground, at which bicycles, not being motor vehicles, may be left at any time without charge or time limit.   A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 9th March 1998, of plans which indicate the locations and effects of the Order and the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order, can be inspected between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published, in the reception of the Council’s offices at Courtenay House, 9-15 New Park Road, London S.W.2.   Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the making of the Order, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
