LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON
The Sutton (Disabled Person Parking Places) (No.   ) (Amendment No.   ) Order 199  . (DS116)

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton propose to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The principal objectives are that the proposed bays shall provide for disabled persons:   (a) a parking facility where a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult;   (b) a parking facility in a local shopping area where parking regularly occurs making reasonable means of access difficult.   The general effect of this Order will be:   (i) to provide a parking place in which only vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge may park at the following locations:       (a) outside No. 2 Delcombe Avenue, Worcester Park, to operate at all times;       (b) outside No. 98 Garendon Road, Morden, to operate at all times;       (c) outside No. 64-66 or 28-30 Shaftesbury Road (in the middle of the turning head), Carshalton, to operate at all times;       (d) outside No. 4-2 Lingfield Road, Worcester Park, to operate at all times;       (e) outside No. 32 Washington Road, Worcester Park, to operate at all times;       (f) outside No. 51 Kingsdown Road, Cheam, to operate at all times;       (g) outside No. 25-20 Torre Walk (in the middle of the turning head), Carshalton, to operate at all times;       (h) outside Ridge Road Library, Sutton, to operate at all times;       (i) outside No. 168 Winchcombe Road, Carshalton, to operate at all times (fully on footway);       (j) outside No. 179 Robertsbridge Road, Carshalton, to operate at all times;       (k) outside No. 97 Abbots Road, Cheam, to operate at all times;       (l) outside No. 48 Gomshall Avenue, Wallington, to operate at all times.   (ii) to revoke the disabled persons parking bays in the following locations:       (a) outside No. 117 Browning Avenue, Worcester Park;       (b) outside No. 17 Whitby Gardens, Carshalton;       (c) outside No. 23 Kew Crescent, North Cheam;       (d) outside No. 56 Courteny Crescent, Carshalton;   (iii) the disabled persons parking bay outside No. 36 Stayton Road, Sutton, is to be relocated outside No. 38 Stayton Road.   Full details of the proposals are contained in the following documents:   (a) The draft Order   (b) The Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order, these may be examined at:       (i) Civic Offices, St. Nicholas Way, Sutton, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday;       (ii) Environmental Services, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.   Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Environmental Services Department on 0181-770 6458.   If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should send a statement in writing, including the grounds for your objection, and quoting Ref.
