Notice of intention to adopt and of proposed further modifications to proposals for a minerals and waste local plan
Hampshire Minerals and Waste Local Plan (which will replace the Hampshire Minerals Local Plan)

The local inquiry into these plan proposals has been held and the report of the person holding the inquiry has been considered by Hampshire County Council, Portsmouth City Council and Southampton City Council. Modifications to the plan proposals were proposed in March 1997 and all objections to those modifications have been considered by the authorities.   Hampshire County Council, Portsmouth City Council and Southampton City Council propose to further modify these plan proposals.   A list of the proposed further modifications (other than modifications which the auditors are satisfied will not materially affect the content of the plan proposals) with the authorities’ reasons for proposing them, are available for inspection during normal office hours at: Hampshire County Council Information Centre, Mottisfont Court, The Castle, Winchester. Winchester City Council, Avalon House, Chesil Street, Winchester.   Also available for inspection are copies of the plan proposals, the report of the person who held the local inquiry, the authorities’ statement of reasons and decisions in the light of the report, the proposed modifications (March 1997) to the plan proposals, and the authorities’ statement and decisions as respects all the objections to the proposed modifications and their reasons for each decision.   The authorities do not intend to accept all the recommendations in the report. A further list of the recommendations which the authorities do not intend to accept is available for inspection with the above documents.   Objections to, and representations in respect of, the proposed further modifications and the intention not to modify the plan proposals in accordance with certain of the recommendations in the report should be sent in writing to the County Planning Officer, Hampshire County Council, The Castle, Winchester, Hampshire SO23 8UE, to arrive before 5 p.m. on Friday, 29th May 1998.   Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the plan proposals.

Notice of intention to adopt proposals

If no objections are received during the period given for making objections, Hampshire County Council, Portsmouth City Council and Southampton City Council intend to adopt the proposals on the expiry of that period.
