TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act, which will authorise the stopping-up of an area of highway land at St. Martins Street, Wallingford, in the county of Oxfordshire.   If the Order is made, the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to J. Bennett and J. Woodhead by the South Oxfordshire District Council, on 17th July 1998, under reference P95/WO213.   Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected at all reasonable hours during the 28 days commencing on 2nd July 1998 at the offices of South Oxfordshire District Council, Council Offices, Crowmarsh, Wallingford, Oxfordshire OX10 8NJ, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Government Office for the South East, Head of Transport West (quoting reference GOSE/029/001/OXON/017) at the address below.   During the above-mentioned period of 28 days anyone may object to the making of the Order by writing to the Secretary of State, quoting reference GOSE/029/001/OXON/017, and addressing their objection to the Head of Transport West, Government Office for the South East, Bridge House, 1 Walnut Tree Close, Guildford, Surrey GU1 4GA.
