Prescribed forms: the new rules

form fillingThe Insolvency (England and Wales) Rules 2016 came into force on the 6 April 2017, and removed the requirement for individuals to use prescribed forms for insolvency processes.

Instead, the new rules allow for documents to be submitted in any form, as long as the content is compliant with Part One of the Rules. There are still a number of prescribed form templates that must be used when submitting information to the Insolvency Service, Companies House and HM Courts Service.
