Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park Authority

INTENTION TO PUBLICLY CONSULT ON CAMPING MANAGEMENT BYELAW PROPOSALS FOR LOCH LOMOND & THE TROSSACHS NATIONAL PARK
NATIONAL PARKS (SCOTLAND) ACT 2000

Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park Authority is seeking your views on proposals for camping management byelaws for two new management zones:

• West Loch Lomond (including north east Loch Long)

• Wider Trossachs

It also seeks your views on revisions to the existing camping management byelaws in the East Loch Lomond area, including a slight extension to the management zone boundary.

The byelaws are part of a wider programme, called ‘Your Park’, which aims to transform the National Park’s busiest lochshores by proposing significant enhancements to camping provision and to address the serious issues that antisocial camping on and around the National Park’s most popular lochshores, has caused.

The consultation will run from Monday 13 October 2014 to Monday 12 January 2015 (inclusive).

Copies of the consultation document and how to submit comments can be obtained from Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park Authority, Carrochan, Balloch G83 8EG. Telephone: 01389 722600. Email: getinvolved@thisisyourpark.org.uk
