RAY STREET BRIDGE
THE ISLINGTON (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO. 2) TRAFFIC ORDER 2018
1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington on 17 January 2018 made the above mentioned Order under Sections 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other powers thereunto enabling.
2) The purpose of the Prescribed Routes Order will be to convert Ray Street Bridge into a One-Way Street, in an eastbound direction, for all motorists, except cyclists.
3) The general effect of the Order will be to prohibit all vehicles, excluding cyclists, from entering or proceeding into Ray Street Bridge in a westbound direction.
4) Nothing in paragraph 2 shall apply to:
a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform;
b) any vehicle being used for ambulance, fire brigade, police, bomb or explosive disposal; and
c) any person who causes any vehicle to proceed in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed pursuant to Section 66 or 67 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
5) The Order, which will come into force on 22 January 2018 and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours at the following location:

6) Any person who wishes to question the validity of any of the Orders, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any other relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may make application for the purpose to the high court by 2 March 2018.
