Proposed Cardiff and Valleys Railways (Transfer) Order

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR AN ORDER

Keolis Amey Wales Cymru Limited of Amey Rail Maindee Depot, Caerleon Road, Newport NP19 9DZ (‘Keolis Amey’) is to apply to the Welsh Ministers under section 6 of the Transport and Works Act 1992 for an Order, under sections 1 and 5 of that Act.

The draft Order makes provision for the transfer from Network Rail Infrastructure Limited to Transport for Wales of certain statutory provisions and other rights and liabilities relating to the core valley lines in South Wales, and for the exercise of those rights and liabilities by Keolis Amey. The Order also makes related provisions.

The application is not to be made subject to an environmental impact assessment.

Any objections to, or other representations about, the proposals in the application should be sent to the Welsh Ministers, Planning Decisions, Welsh Government, Cathays Park 2, Cardiff CF10 3NQ or email planning.directorate@wales.gsi.gov.uk. An objection or other representation MUST (i) be received by the Welsh Ministers on or before 20th November 2018, be made in writing (whether sent by post or e-mail), (iii) state the grounds of the objection or other representation, (iv) indicate who is making the objection or other representation, and (v) give an address to which correspondence relating to the objection or other representation may be sent. (If you are sending your objection or other representation by e-mail, please provide a postal address and state “Cardiff and Valleys Railways (Transfer) Order” in the subject of the email.)

The Welsh Ministers may make complete copies of the objection and other representations public, including any personal information contained in them, and will copy them to the applicant for the Order.
