THE PUBLIC HEALTH ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1967

The Department of Health has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (2021 Consolidation) (Amendment No. 9) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021", (S.R. 2021 No. 312) which came into operation at 4.00 pm on 26 November 2021.

This rule amends the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 by adding Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe to Schedule 1 (Red list countries); amends Schedule 7 (Managed isolation) in respect of those people arriving from, or transiting through, a red list country between 4.00pm on Friday 26th November 2021 and 4.00am on Sunday 28th November 2021 to self-isolate in their homes or other suitable places as though they were in accommodation designated by the Department of Health; and amends Schedule 8 (Prohibition on arrival of aircraft and vessels) to prevent aircraft and ships from the red list countries arriving in Northern Ireland except in limited circumstances.
