Following an application by Yorkshire Water Services Limited to the Environment Agency for six drought permits in the south Yorkshire area under section 79A of the Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended), the drought permits were granted by the Environment Agency on the dates listed below and will cease to have effect on the dates listed below. The drought permits authorise the reduction of compensation releases from the following reservoirs in the Don River valley.

• Damflask Reservoir, granted 21st November 2022 and will cease to have effect from 21st May 2023.

• Morehall Reservoir, granted 18th November 2022 and will cease to have effect from 18th May 2023.

• Rivelin Reservoir, granted 18th November 2022 and will cease to have effect from 18th May 2023.

• Scout Dyke Reservoir, granted 18th November 2022 and will cease to have effect from 18th May 2023.

• Underbank Reservoir (Langsett licence) and Underbank Reservoir (Midhope licence), granted 18th November 2022 and will cease to have effect from 18th May 2023.

• Winscar and Windleden Lower Reservoirs (Dunford Bridge Maintained Flow), granted 23rd November 2022 and will cease to have effect from 23rd May 2023.
