THE KING has been pleased to order a Congé d'Elire to pass the Great Seal of the Realm empowering the College of Canons of the Cathedral Church in Peterborough, to elect a Bishop of the See of Peterborough, the same being void by the resignation of the Right Reverend Donald Spargo Allister, M.A., lately Bishop thereof; and His Majesty has been pleased to recommend to the said College of Canons the Right Reverend Deborah Mary Sellin, M.A., Bishop Suffragan of Southampton, to be by them elected Bishop of the said See.
