20 MPH SPEED LIMIT

THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO. 1) ORDER 2024

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council on 3rd June 2024 made the above Order under sections 84 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from exceeding 20 mph in the following roads and lengths of roads insomuch as they lie within the City of Westminster:

(a) Carlton Vale, between its junction with Kilburn Lane and Western Court, No. 245 Carlton Vale;

(b) Kilburn Lane;

(c) Kilburn Park Road; and

(d) Malvern Place, between its junction with Saltram Crescent and the common boundary of No. 157 Saltram Crescent and Nos. 1 to 16 Kilburn House, Malvern Place.

3. The Order, which will come into force on 6th June 2024, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection until 15th July 2024 at https://westminstertransportationservices.co.uk/notices and, in person by appointment only, at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP, between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (except bank / public holidays). 4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
