TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

(SALISBURY ROAD)

NO.1 TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Heathrow Airport Limited GIVES NOTICE that it intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Sections 14 and 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), and all other enabling powers, to enable structural repairs works to MSCP4 to take place at Heathrow Airport.

The effect of this Order will be a temporary prohibition of driving and height restriction for all vehicles on Salisbury Road Lane 3, for its entire length of T4 Arrivals Forecourt Lane 3. The following restrictions apply:

(1) Lane closure – each night between the hours of 22:30 and 05:00, starting at 22:30 on Wednesday 3rd July 2024;

(2) Prohibition of driving except for access and vehicles with height not exceeding 3.2 meters (10”6’), at all times, starting at 22:30 on Wednesday 3rd July 2024.

This Order will come into operation at 22:30 on Wednesday 3rd July 2024 and will remain in force during the times stated above, for a maximum period of eighteen months, or earlier if the works to which they’re related have finished. The closure will be effective as soon as the relevant signs are erected and will remain in place at all times when indicated by the traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

During the works, traffic would be diverted onto Salisbury Road Lane 2, also known as T4 Arrivals Forecourt Lane 2.The provisions of any other temporary Orders, which are made prior to commencement of this Order, are thereby revoked by only in so far as they are affected by the restrictions imposed by this Order.

Excepted from all the restrictions above include:

- Anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer, traffic warden or traffic police community support officer in uniforms;

- Vehicle used for ambulance, fire service or police purposes in an emergency, providing their vehicles height do not exceeding 3.2 meters (10”6’);

- Any vehicle proceeding in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed pursuant to section 66 or section 67 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984;

- Any persons or vehicles used in connection with the works providing that such persons have been authorised to enter the road closure area.
