The Council proposes to make changes to the following Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended): THE TOWER HAMLETS (WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (MAP BASED) ORDER 2019, THE TOWER HAMLETS (PARKING PLACES) (MAP BASED) ORDER 2019.

1. The general effect of these proposals are as follows:

PTO 2208 (Minor amendments):

(a) Devons Road: To convert the double yellow lines back into single yellow lines on the (i) North side between Furze Street & Gale Street, and (ii) 12.6 metres on the North side between Watts Grove and Maddams Street.

(b) Sewardstone Road (between no’s 2&4): to replace both the Personalised Disabled Bay no.THDIS409 and Resident parking space with Permit holders only spaces.

(c) To convert the single yellow lines into double yellow lines on both sides of (i) Ruston Street – both sides between Wendon Street and no.33, (ii) Wendon Street, and (iii) Old ford Road – at its corner junction with Wendon Street.

(d) Ruston Street (outside the surgery) – by removing the single yellow line, to introduce a general disabled parking bay to operate at any time with 3 hours maximum stay.

(e) Violet Street at its junction with Three Colts Lane – To introduce approx. 4m of No waiting and No Loading ‘at any time‘ restrictions.

2. The Regulations, fees and usual exemptions imposed by the governing Traffic Management Orders would apply to the proposals referred to in paragraph 1 above.

3. A copy of each of the proposed Orders and all relevant documents can be obtained by emailing Parking.TMO@towerhamlets.gov.uk until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.

4. Any objections or other representations about the proposed Orders should be sent by email to the above email address in paragraph 3 or in writing to Parking & Mobility Services, 585-593 Commercial Road, London E1 0HJ within 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
