BULLSMOOR LANE EN1 – PARALLEL ZEBRA CROSSING, LOCAL WIDENING OF FOOTWAYS AND ‘AT ANY TIME’ WAITING RESTRICTIONS

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of The London Borough of Enfield (the Council) have made The Enfield (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 256) Order 2024 under sections 6 and 124 of and part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order which will come into operation on 4th November 2024 will be to introduce ‘At any time’ waiting restrictions at Bullsmoor Lane, on the northern side of the road opposite and to the east and west of its junction with Manor Farm Road;

3. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield (the Council) has approved, under section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the introduction of parallel zebra pedestrian crossings (a crossing where traffic should give way to pedestrians and cyclists) in Bullsmoor Lane west of its junction with Manor Farm Road. The extent of the crossing including the associated zig-zag markings (which would prohibit all vehicles from stopping on them for any reason at all times) would be as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

4. Copies of the Order, and any other relevant documents, can be inspected at the Town Library, 66 Church Street, Enfield EN2 6AX, on Mondays to Fridays between 9am and 5pm inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made. The made Order, notice and plan can also be inspected online at: https://www.enfield.gov.uk/services/roads-and-transport/traffic-management-orders

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
