The Industrial Tribunals (Interest on Awards in Sexual Orientation Discrimination Cases) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007
Notice is hereby given that the Department for Employment and Learning, being a Department designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to discrimination, in exercise of the powers conferred by that section, has made a Statutory Rule entitled the Industrial Tribunals (Interest on Awards in Sexual Orientation Discrimination Cases) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007 - S.R. 2007 No. 101 (“the Amendment Regulations”).
The Amendment Regulations amend the Industrial Tribunals (Interest on Awards in Sexual Orientation Discrimination Cases) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 (“the 2003 Regulations”) to clarify that an award made by the Tribunal on which interest is calculated in sexual orientation discrimination cases does not include an award in respect of costs, allowances or preparation time under the rules of procedure governing industrial tribunals.
Printed copies of the Regulations are available from The Stationery Office Bookshop ISBN 978-0337-96876-1 priced £3.00.
