NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974, that an application has been made to SEPA by H J Banks & Co Ltd, Suite 71-73 Fountain Business Centre, Coatbridge, ML5 3AA for consent to discharge 6480 m3 per day of treated trade effluent to the River Avon at NGR NS 899 730 from Bankrigg Open Cast Coal Site, Avonbridge.

Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to The Registrar, SEPA, Edinburgh Office, Clearwater House, Heriot-Watt Researoh Park, Avenue North, Riccarton, Edinburgh, EH14 4AP not later them 18th February 2003 quoting reference WPC/E/0022743.
