NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (as amended), that the following applications have been made to SEPA by Scottish Water in connection with the present upgrading of the Ardentinny sewerage system:

Ref: WPC/W/72009:

Up to 16.92 cubic metres per day of sewage effluent from a septic tank serving 47 persons at Ardenfield North (Swedish Cottages), Ardentinny to Loch Long at National Grid Reference NS 1888 8778.

Ref: WPC/W/72024:

Up to 20.01 cubic metres per day of sewage effluent from a septic tank serving 87 persons at Ardenfield South (Ardenfield), Ardentinny to Loch Long at National Grid Reference NS 1909 8692.

Any person who wishes to make representations about the applications should do so in writing to The Registrar, SEPA, 5 Redwood Crescent, Peel Park, East Kilbride G74 5PP, not later than 25 January 2005, quoting the reference number.

Copies of the applications may be inspected, free of charge, at the above offices of the Agency at all reasonable hours and by prior arrangement with the Argyll Office, at 2 Smithy Lane, Lochgilphead (Tel No 01546 602876). In addition, copies will be available at Strone Post Office.
