NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (As Amended), that an application has been made to SEPA by Orkney Islands Council for consent to discharge a maximum of 2,592 cubic metres per day of trade effluent to Orquil Burn at NGR HY 4317 0912 from Chinglebraes Quarry, St Ola, Orkney.

Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to The Registrar, SEPA, Graesser House, Fodderty Way, Dingwall IV15 9XB not later than 12 April 2005 quoting reference WPC/N/72303.

A copy of the application may be inspected free of charge, at the above address or at the SEPA Orkney Office, Norlantic House, Scott’s Road, Hatson Industrial Estate, Kirkwall, Orkney KW15 1RE.
