NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (as amended), that an application has been made to SEPA by Drumbow Homes Ltd for consent to discharge 45 cubic metres per day of sewage effluent to the North Calder Water via an emergency overflow outlet at NGR NS 8161 6764 from a pumping station serving a housing development at The Mill, Caldercruix, Airdrie.

It should be noted that this discharge of sewage effluent is an emergency discharge and will only occur in the event of power failure or breakdown of the sewage pumping station.

Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Registrar, SEPA, 5 Redwood Crescent, Peel Park, East Kilbride G74 5PP, not later than 27 May 2005, quoting reference WPC/W/72484.

A copy of the application may be inspected free of charge, at the above address.
