NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (As Amended), that applications have been made to SEPA by Scottish Water for consent to discharge the following:

WPC/N/72959

14.22 m3 per day of domestic wastewater and sewage to Water Sound, Scapa Flow at NGR ND 4771 9566 from East Septic Tanks, Leaburn, Burray, Sewage Treatment Works.

WPC/N/72960

11.85 m3 per day of domestic wastewater and sewage to Water Sound, Scapa Flow at NGR ND 4718 9547 from Burray Village Septic Tanks.

WPC/N/72961

9.48 m3 per day of domestic wastewater and sewage to Water Sound, Scapa Flow at NGR ND 4703 9548 from West Septic Tank, Sunfield, Burray, Sewage Treatment Works.

Any person who wishes to make representations about these applications should do so in writing to The Registrar, SEPA, Graesser House, Fodderty Way, Dingwall IV15 9XB not later than 1 November 2005 quoting reference WPC/N/72959, WPC/N/72960 or WPC/N/72961.

Copies of the applications may be inspected free of charge, at the above address between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday (except local and national holidays) or by prior arrangement with SEPA’s Orkney office, Norlantic House, Scott’s Road, Kirkwall, Orkney KW15 1RE.
