NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (As Amended), that applications have been made to SEPA by Scottish Water:

For consent to discharge a mean flow of 1.36 litres per second of septic tank treated effluent, settled and/or screened storm sewage to Firth of Clyde at NGR NS 242 803 from Septic Tank/Pumping Station No.1, located at Old Medical Centre, opposite ‘Greenways’ and ‘Braefoot’, Kilcreggan.

For consent to discharge a maximum flow of 55.8 litres per second of screened storm sewage to Firth of Clyde at NGR NS 231 803 from Pumping Station No.3, foreshore area opposite ‘Ashlea’, Kilcreggan.

For consent to discharge a maximum flow of 267.3 litres per second of screened storm sewage to Firth of Clyde at NGR NS 224 807 from Pumping Station No.4, foreshore area opposite ‘Gantocks’, Kilcreggan.

For consent to discharge a mean flow of 8.29 litres per second of septic tank treated effluent to Firth of Clyde at NGR NS 219 811 from Septic Tank, Hartfield, Kilcreggan.

For consent to discharge a maximum flow of 43.5 litres per second of septic tank treated effluent, settled and/or screened storm sewage to Firth of Clyde at NGR NS 220 816 from Septic Tank/Pumping Station No.5, foreshore area opposite ‘Bloomfield’, Kilcreggan.

Any person who wishes to make representations about the applications should do so in writing to The Registrar, SEPA, 5 Redwood Crescent, Peel Park, East Kilbride G74 5PP not later than 4 November 2005, quoting the appropriate reference numbers(s).

Copies of the applications may be inspected free of charge, at SEPA, 5 Redwood Crescent, Peel Park, East Kilbride G74 5PP between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday (except local and national holidays) and by prior arrangement at the local SEPA office at Law House, Todd Campus, West of Scotland Science Park, Maryhill Road, Glasgow G20 0XA (tel 0141 945 6350).
