CITY OF SALFORD

The City of Salford (Bolton Road/Ellesmere Retail Park, Walkden) (Prohibition of Waiting) and (Peak Hour Loading/Unloading Restrictions) Order 1998. On 23rd January 1998, the Council of the City of Salford made the above-mentioned Order under sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.   The effect of the Order is as described in the notice of proposal to make the Order which appeared in The London Gazette (Issue No. 54007), dated 13th April 1995, under reference number 523, in that it is unlawful to permit vehicular traffic to wait nor to load/unload between the times of operation on the lengths of road specified in the Schedules below.   A copy of the Order and a map showing the lengths of road affected are available for inspection at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays inclusive (Ref. H/LP/F/RTO/219).   If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may, within 6 weeks from 23rd January 1998, apply to the High Court for this purpose. Schedule 1

   New Access Road to Ellesmere Retail Park, introduction of 24 hour waiting restrictions and no loading/unloading between 7.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., Monday to Sunday, on both sides for its entire length.

Schedule 2

   Bolton Road, Walkden, Worsley, introduction of no loading/ unloading between 7.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Sunday, on both sides from a point 30 metres south of Louisa Street to the southern kerb-line of Barlow Street. 29th January 1998.
