The Newham (20 m.p.h. Speed Limit) (No. 1) Traffic Order 1998 Brancaster Road, Dersingham Avenue, Little Ilford Lane, Sheringham Avenue, Wolferton Road, London E.12

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Newham, on 2nd March 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.   The general effect of the Order will be to impose a maximum speed limit of 20 m.p.h. for motor vehicles in (a) Brancaster Road; (b) Dersingham Avenue, between Romford Road and Church Road; (c) Little Ilford Lane; (d) Sheringham Avenue, between Romford Road and Church Road and (e) Wolferton Road. This speed limit will replace the existing 30 m.p.h. speed limit.   A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 9th March 1998, and of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours until 6 weeks from the date on which the Order comes into force, on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the offices of the Director of Environment, 25 Nelson Street, East Ham, London E6 4EH.
