The London Borough of Islington (Bus Stop Clearway) (No. 1) Traffic Management Order 1998 Relating to: Blackstock Road, Highbury Park, Highbury Grove and Kings Cross Road

Notice is hereby given that the Islington Borough Council, on 27th February 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 7(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(a), and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police for the Metropolis, in accordance with paragraph 20(1) of Schedule 9 to that Act.   The general effect of the Order will be to designate certain sections of the streets named-above as Bus Stop Clearways and will, with certain restrictions set out in the Order, prohibit most vehicles, except buses, from stopping in the Bus Stop Clearways at any time.   A copy of the Order, copies of the maps which indicate the lengths of highway to which the Order relates and a copy of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order, may, be inspected during normal office hours, Mondays to Fridays at: The Legal Department, Town Hall, Upper Street, London N.1. (Please ask for Ref. LE/C/ HGF.)   Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order, or any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purposes to the High Court.
