Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995
Article 4(2) Direction Towcester Conservation Area

Notice is hereby given that the South Northamptonshire Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by them by article 4(2) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995 directs that the development (Schedule 1) shall be restricted in relation to the properties (Schedule 2) situated within part of the Towcester Conservation Area.   A copy of the direction and a copy of the Conservation Area map may be inspected from 9 a.m. to 4.45 p.m. Monday to Friday at the Council Offices, Springfields, Towcester.   If you would like to make any objections or other comments about the direction, please do so in writing within 21 days from the date of this notice. Your comments should be sent to P. D. Leggett, Head of Planning and Development, Council Offices, Towcester, Northamptonshire NN12 6AE. All objections or representations will be carefully considered before the Council decide whether to confirm the direction or not. P. D. Development Restricted
Part 1 of Schedule 2

Class A The enlargement, improvement or other alteration of a dwellinghouse.
Class C Any other alteration to the roof of a dwellinghouse.
Class D The erection or construction of a porch outside any external door of a dwellinghouse.
Class H The installation, alteration or replacement of a satellite antenna on a dwellinghouse or within its curtilage. The erection, alteration or demolition of a chimney.

Part 2 of Schedule 2

Class A The erection, construction, maintenance, improvement or alteration of a gate, fence, wall or other means of enclosure.
Class C The painting of the exterior of any dwellinghouse, building or enclosure within the curtilage of a dwellinghouse.
  The above development rights are removed insofar as the development which would be permitted fronts a highway, open space or waterway.
