The London Borough of Brent (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 78) Order 1988

The London Borough of Brent (Parking Places) (No. 1) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Brent on 5th January 1998, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, the Parking Acts of 1986 and 1989 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   2. The general effect of the “Waiting and Loading Restrictions” Order will be further to amend the London Borough of Brent (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1979, so that in Corinium Close, Lea Gardens, Park Court, Park Lawns and South Meadows, the hours during which the existing prohibition applies on waiting by vehicles will be changed so that such prohibition will apply between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. throughout the week including Bank Holidays.   3. The general effect of the “Parking Places” Order will be to amend the London Borough of Brent (Parking Places) Orders of 1997, so that:   (a) the permitted hours in relation to parking places in Corinium Close, Dagmar Avenue, Dennis Avenue, Empire Way (part), Lea Gardens, Linden Avenue, Linden Lawns, Mostyn Avenue, Park Court, Park Lawns, Park Place, South Meadows and Wembley Hill Road will be changed so that the permitted hours will be between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. throughout the week including Bank Holidays.   (b) any resident whose usual place of abode is in any street specified above may apply to the Council for the issue of residents/visitors permits valid for use in the parking places situated in the streets referred to in (a) above;   (c) the conditions of use, scale of charges, etc. will remain unchanged.    Note. Wembley Hill permits are not valid in Wembley Central and Wembley Central permits are not valid in Wembley Hill.   4. A copy of each of the Orders, which will come into operation on 19th January 1998, of a map of the relevant area and of the London Borough of Brent (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1979, (and of the Orders which have previously amended that Order) can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at:   (a) The One Stop Shop, Brent Town Hall, Forty Lane, Wembley, Middlesex HA9 9HX; and   (b) The One Stop Shop, Brent House, 349-357 High Road, Wembley, Middlesex HA9 6BZ.   5. Copies of the Orders may be purchased from the address mentioned in paragraph 4(b) above.   6. Any person desiring to question the validity of either of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to either of the Orders may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
