The Denbighshire County Council (Ruthin Town Centre Various Roads) (Traffic Regulation) Order 199  Notice of Permanent Prohibition/Restriction of Waiting and One-way Traffic Order

Notice is hereby given that Denbighshire County Council propose to make an Order under sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3) and 4(2) and (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:   (1) to prohibit the waiting of vehicles at any time in the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 hereto;   (2) to restrict the waiting of vehicles in the lengths of road specified in Schedules 2 to 5 inclusive hereto;   (3) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in the lengths of road specified in Schedule 6 hereto in a direction other than that specified in column 2 of the said Schedule;   (4) to revoke or amend as necessary the Orders specified in Schedule 7 hereto.   Exceptions will be provided in the proposed Order to permit waiting for the purposes of alighting, boarding, loading, unloading and works of maintenance, repair and the like.   Exceptions will also be provided in the proposed Order to allow vehicles displaying both a disabled person’s badge and a disabled person’s parking disc to wait in the lengths of road specified in Schedules 1 to 3 inclusive for a period not exceeding 3 hours (not being a period separated by an interval of less than 1 hour from a previous period of waiting by the same vehicle on the same day).   Vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge will be allowed to wait for an unlimited period of time in the lengths of road specified in Schedules 4 and 5.   A copy of the proposed Order, together with maps showing the lengths of road to which the proposed Order relates and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined at Ruthin Library, the Old Court House, Record Street, Ruthin, and at Russell House, Churton Road, Rhyl, during normal office hours. Objections to the proposed Order, together with the grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing to the undersigned by 20th February 1998. I. K. Schedule 1
No Waiting at Any Time

Dog Lane:   South side, from its junction with Well Street for a distance of 105 metres in a south-westerly direction to its junction with Tan y Castell.   North side, from its junction with Well Street for a distance of 86 metres in a south-westerly direction. Record Street:   North side, from its junction with Well Street for a distance of 26 metres in a south-westerly direction.   South side, from its junction with Well Street for a distance of 27 metres in a south-westerly direction. Wynnstay Road:   North-east side, from its junction with Market Street for a distance of 23 metres in a south-easterly direction.   North-east side, from its junction with Well Street for a distance of 23 metres in a north-westerly direction.   South-west side, from its junction with Market Street for a distance of 30 metres in a south-easterly direction.   South-west side, from its junction with Well Street for a distance of 20 metres in a north-westerly direction. Market Street:   North-west side, from its junction with St. Peter’s Square for a distance of 164 metres in a north-easterly direction to its junction with Mount Street.   South-east side, from its junction with St. Peter’s Square for a distance of 11 metres in a north-easterly direction.   South-east side, from its junction with Wynnstay Road for a distance of 24 metres in a south-westerly direction. St. Peter’s Square:   Outer east side, from its junction with Market Street for a distance of 9 metres in a northerly direction.   Inner side of peripheral road surrounding the monument; a distance of 94 metres in total. Well Street:   South side, from its junction with Dog Lane for a distance of 18 metres in an easterly direction. Clwyd Street:   North side, from its junction with Mwrog Street for a distance of 165 metres in an easterly direction.   South side, from its junction with Mwrog Street for a distance of 156 metres in an easterly direction.

  Well Street, south side, from its junction with Station Road for a distance of 13 metres in a westerly direction.    Castle Street, west side, from its junction with Clwyd Street for a distance of 13 metres in a southerly direction.

St. Peter’s Square:   Outer west side, from its junction with Clwyd Street for a distance of 48 metres in a northerly direction.   Outer north and east side, from its junction with Prior Street for a distance of 69 metres in a north-easterly and then south-easterly direction

Wynnstay Road:   North-east side, from a point 23 metres north of its junction with Well Street for a distance of 101 metres in a north-westerly direction.   South-west side, from a point 20 metres north of its junction with Well Street for a distance of 91 metres in a north-westerly direction.

8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Waiting Limited to 30 minutes, no return within 10 minutes

Well Street:   North side, from a point 95 metres west of its junction with Wynnstay Road for a distance of 33 metres in a westerly direction.   South side, from a point 13 metres west of its junction with Station Road for a distance of 65 metres in a westerly direction. St. Peter’s Square:   Outer east side, from a point 9 metres north of its junction with Market Street for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction.   Outer south side, from its junction with Castle Street for a distance of 20 metres in an easterly direction. Castle Street:   East side, from its junction with St. Peter’s Square for a distance of 8 metres in a southerly direction.   West side, from its junction with Upper Clwyd Street for a distance of 20 metres in a northerly direction.   Market Street, South-east side, from a point 11 metres north-east of its junction with St. Peter’s Square for a distance of 67 metres in a north-easterly direction.
