LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY
The Bromley (Bus Stop Clearway) (No. 2) Order 1997 (Amendment No. 3) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley hereinafter called “the Council” proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under section 6 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 and Part I of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, and sections 64 to 81 inclusive and Schedules 6 and 7 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The effect of the Order would introduce an at any time bus stop clearway in Grovelands Road, St. Paul’s Cray, between its junctions with Ticehurst Close and Dorchester Close.   The Order will include the usual exemptions for vehicles needing access.   The prohibitions and exemptions will not apply in relation to anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or to vehicles of the emergency services.   A copy of the proposed Order, of the plan of the scheme and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order can be inspected during normal offices hours on Mondays to Fridays, at the Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, Kent.   Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send in a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environmental Services, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley BR1 3UH, quoting reference ACE(T&P)/PAL/ T100/256, by 20th March 1998.   Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this notice may be open to public inspection.
