Notice of intention to apply for an Order authorising the stopping-up of a highway

Notice is hereby given that Ashford Borough Council intend to apply to the Magistrates’ Court, sitting at Tufton Street, Ashford, Kent, on Monday, 30th March 1998, at 10 a.m., for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping-up of an area of highway at Rylands Road, Kennington, Ashford, Kent, on the ground that it is unnecessary.
  The effect of the proposed Order is shown on a plan deposited at the offices of the Borough Secretary and Solicitor, Civic Centre, Tannery Lane, Ashford, Kent, where it may be inspected, free of charge, between 9 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays.
