LONDON BOROUGH OF NEWHAM
The Newham (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No.  ) Order 199 Prince Regent Lane, London E.13

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Newham propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The general effect of the Order would be to impose new restrictions on waiting by vehicles (including waiting for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading the vehicle) (double yellow lines and no loading) at any time in Prince Regent Lane, on both sides, from a point 22 metres north of the northern kerb-line of Crofton Road northward for a distance of 45 metres. The restrictions would keep the pedestrian crossing (which is to be converted to a “toucan” crossing, with facilities for pedestrians and cyclists) at the junction with The Greenway (Northern Outfall Sewer Embankment) clear of parked vehicles.   Copies of the proposed Order, and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, can be inspected until 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made or until the proposal is withdrawn, whichever is appropriate, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the office of the Director of Environment, 25 Nelson Street, East Ham, London E6 4EH.   Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Environment Department on 0181-472 1430, extension 22369.   All objections and other representations relating to the Order must be made in writing to the Director of Environment at the address shown above quoting Ref. E/ES/NB by 27th March 1998. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. Head of Engineering 2nd March 1998.
