Notice of intention to adopt and of proposed modification to proposals for the replacement of a structure plan

Mid Glamorgan (Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough) Replacement Structure Plan 1991-2006

Deposit version incorporating proposed modifications to the previously deposited Mid Glamorgan structure plan

The Secretary of State for Wales gave his approval for the above plan to be prepared as a modified scheme”. The effect of this approval is to enable the County Borough Council of Rhondda Cynon Taff to prepare modifications for the above plan, for the area of the former County of Mid Glamorgan, which transferred, on 1st April 1996, to the Local Planning Authority of Rhondda Cynon Taff.   The examination in public into these plan proposals has been held and re-opened and the reports of the panels holding the examinations in public has been considered by the former Mid Glamorgan County Council and Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council.   Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council propose to further modify these plan proposals.   A list of the proposed modification (other than modifications which the authority are satisfied will not materially affect the content of the plan proposals), with the authority’s reasons for proposing it are available for inspection, at the following locations during office and library hours:   Abercynon: Library, Walter Street.   Aberdare: Library, Gadlys Road and Planning Department, Corporation Buildings, Depot Road.   Church Village: Library, Main Road.   Clydach Vale: Council Offices, The Pavilions, Cambrian Park.   Ferndale: Library, High Street.   Hirwaun: Library, High Street.   Mountain Ash: Library, Duffryn Road.   Penrhiwceiber: Library, Penrhiwceiber Road.   Pontyclun: Library, Heol y Felin.   Pontypridd: Council Offices, Municipal Buildings, Gelliwastad Road; Library, Library Road; Planning Department, The Grange, Tyfica Road and Planning Department, Llwyncastan, Library Road.   Porth: Library, Pontypridd Road.   Rhydyfelin: Library, Poplar Road.   Talbot Green: Council Offices, Danygraig, Ely Valley Road.   Taffs Well: Library, Cardiff Road.   Ton Pentre: Planning Department, Crawshay Street.   Tonypandy: Library, De Winton Street.   Tonyrefail: Library, High Street.   Treherbert: Library, Bute Street.   Treorchy: Library, Station Road.   Tylorstown: Library, East Road.   Ynysybwl: Library, Robert Street.   Also available for inspection are copies of the plan proposals, the Town and Country Planning (Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council) (Mid Glamorgan Structure Plan) Direction 1996, the reports of the panels which held the examinations in public and the Authority’s statements of reasons and decisions in the light of the reports.   Objections to, and representations in respect of, the proposed modification should be sent in writing to: G.P. Mellor, The Director of Planning, Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council, The Grange, 58 Tyfica Road, Pontypridd CF37 2DD, before 4 p.m. on Monday, 22nd June 1998.   Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the plan proposals.

Notice of intention to adopt proposals

If no objections are received during the period given for making objections, Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council intend to adopt the proposals on the expiry of that period. G. P. Mellor, Director of Planning 11th May 1998.
