Notice of Deposit of Proposals for the Chester-le-Street District Local Plan: Deposit Plan.

Notice is hereby given that Chester-le-Street District Council have prepared proposals for the implementation of the above plan. If, and when, these plan proposals are adopted they will form the development plan for the Chester-le-Street District. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting that area.   Copies of the proposals are available for public inspection, free of charge, at:   Planning Reception, Chester-le-Street District Council, Civic Centre, Newcastle Road, Chester-le-Street, 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Thursday, 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on Fridays.   Libraries throughout the Chester-le-Street District.   Objections to, and representations in respect of, the proposals, should be sent in writing to Tom Watson, Planning Services Manager, Chester-le-Street District Council, Civic Centre, Newcastle Road, Chester-le-Street, County Durham DH3 3UT, before 5 p.m., Monday, 29th June 1998. Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may also be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the proposals.   Only objectors whose objections are made in writing and arrive at the address specified above within the 6 week period ending on 29th June 1998 will have the right to have their objections considered at a local inquiry or hearing.   Further information is available from the Planning Services Division at Chester-le-Street District Council, Civic Centre, Newcastle Road, Chester-le-Street, County Durham DH3 3UT, or by telephoning 0191-387 2171.

Notice of Intention to Adopt Proposals.

  If no objections to the proposals are received during the period given for making objections, Chester-le-Street District Council intend to adopt the proposals on the expiry of that period.
