Notice of Deposit of Proposals for the Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland Waste Local Plan

Leicestershire County Council, Leicester City Council and Rutland County Council District Council have prepared proposals for the above plan. If, and when, these plan proposals are adopted they will form part of the development plan for Leicesteshire, Leicester and Rutland. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting these areas.   Copies of the proposals are available for public inspection, free of charge, from Friday, 26th June 1998 until 4 p.m. on Friday, 7th August 1998 (inclusive) in Room 500, Planning & Transportation Department, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester; Customer Services Centre, B Block, Leicester City Council offices at New Walk Centre, Leicester, between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays and 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays; Rutland County Council District Council offices at Catmose, Oakham, between the hours of 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays to Thursdays and 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on Fridays.   Objections to, and representations in respect of, the proposals should be sent in writing to Ken Arkley, Director of Planning & Transportation, Leicestershire County Council, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RJ, to arrive by 4 p.m. on Friday, 7th August 1998. Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may also be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the proposals.   Only objectors whose objections are made in writing and arrive at the address specified above within the six week period ending at 4 p.m. on Friday, 7th August 1998, will have a right to have their objections considered at a local inquiry.   Copies are also available for reference at the main offices of District Councils throughout Leicestershire and at all public libraries throughout the Plan area, during normal opening hours.   Further information is available from the Department of Planning & Transportation, Leicestershire County Council, County Hall, Leicester. Notice of intention to adopt proposals

  If no objections to the proposals are received during the period given for making objections, Leicestershire County Council, Leicester City Council and Rutland County Council District Council intend to adopt the proposals on the expiry of that period.
