The Stopping-Up of Highways (Highway Adjacent to Boundary of 116 Heol Croesty, Pencoed) Order 1998
The Secretary of State for Wales hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, to authorise the stopping-up of the length of highway described in Schedule 1 of this notice. The stopping-up is authorised only in order to enable the development described in Schedule 2 to this notice to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted by Bridgend County Borough Council on 24th March 1997, under reference P/97/162/PUL. The Order will cease to have effect upon the cessation of the planning permission. Copies of the Order and the deposited plan may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at Bridgend County Council Offices, Civic Offices, Angel Street, Bridgend, or may be obtained, free of charge, from the Welsh Office, Highways Directorate, Roads Administration Division 3, Cathys Park, Cardiff CF1 3NQ, quoting reference ZC10-5-53-2. If any person desires to question the validity of the Order, or any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, or that his or her interests have been substantially prejudiced by a failure to comply with any of the requirements of the Act, he or she may within 6 weeks of 2nd July 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein. Schedule 1
The highway to be stopped-up is at Pencoed, Bridgend. It comprises of a strip of highway land known as Heol Croesty, at the rear of the northern footway adjacent to the boundary of the property known as 116 Heol Croesty, 17 metres in length and having a maximum width of 1.6 metres, and a total area of approximately 22.5 square metres.
