STOPPING-UP OF A HIGHWAY

Notice is hereby given that Hartlepool Borough Council, the Highway Authority, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Law Courts, Victoria Road, Hartlepool, on 29th February 2000, at 2.15 p.m., for an Order pursuant to section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, that those lengths of highway referred to in the Schedule hereto be stopped up on the grounds that they are unnecessary. A copy of a plan (drawing number M49,663) showing those parts of the highway to be stopped up, may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at the Legal Division, Chief Executive’s Department, Civic Centre, Victoria Road, Hartlepool. Footpaths between Nos. 23 and 24 and Nos. 31 and 32 Hindpool Close (1)  23 and 24 Hindpool Close The footpath to be stopped up commences at the back of the footway on a line corresponding to the westerly boundary of Nos. 24 and 26 Hindpool Close and then travels in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 14 metres to a line at the back of the footpath corresponding to the easterly boundary of Nos. 24 and Nos. 25 Hindpool Close. The width of the footpath is approximately 3 metres. (2)  31 and 32 Hindpool Close The footpath be stopped up commences at the back of the footway on a line corresponding to the southerly boundary of No. 31 Hindpool Close and then travels in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 23 metres to back of the footpath on a line corresponding to the northerly boundary of 31 Hindpool Close. The width of the footway is approximately 2.5 metres. 25th January 2000.
