THE STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAYS (UNNAMED HIGHWAY AT LLANDYGAI INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, BANGOR, GWYNEDD) ORDER 2004

Notice is hereby given that the Minister for Economic Development and Transport, acting on behalf of the National Assembly for Wales, has made an Order under section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, to authorise the stopping-up of the length of highway described in the Schedule to this notice. The stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable development consisting of a bus storage and maintenance facility with external staff and bus parking and associated offices at Llandygai Industrial Estate, Bangor, Gwynedd to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted by Gwynedd Council on 4 June 2004, under Ref CO4A/0165/16/LL. The Order also provides for the new length of highway described in the Schedule to this notice to become highway maintainable at the public expense. The Order will cease to have effect upon a cessation of the planning permission. Copies of the Order and the deposited plan may be inspected, free of charge, at the offices of Gwynedd Council, Shirehall, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, during normal office hours or may be obtained, free of charge, from the address below quoting the Welsh Assembly Government Ref CZ 510-5-44-6. If any person desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds: (a) that it is not within the powers of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, or (b) that their interests have been substantially prejudiced by a failure to comply with any of the requirements of that Act, they may, within 6 weeks of 24 September 2004, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or any provision contained therein. The length of highway to be stopped up and shown by diagonal hatching on the deposited plan is at Llandygai Industrial Estate, Bangor, Gwynedd and comprises that part of an unnamed highway which extends from a point 46.2 metres north-east of the substation designated “0859711008 Ready Mixed Concrete” (marked “A” on the deposited plan), extending in a north-easterly direction to point “B” on the deposited plan, having a maximum length of 90 metres, a variable width (the maximum being indicated by the letter “C” on the deposited plan) and an area of 780 square metres. Description of the length of new highway to be provided. The new highway to be provided will form a turning head on the unnamed highway at Llandygai Industrial Estate, Bangor and is 37 metres north of the substation designated “0859711008 Ready Mix Concrete” and has an average length of 42 metres and an average width of 10 metres.
