Notice is hereby given that the Westminster City Council propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.   The general effect of the Parking Place Order would be to relocate a certain resident’s parking place in West Halkin Street to Halkin Place, provide a resident’s parking place in Belgrave Square and convert two shared use parking spaces to diplomatic parking.   The general effect of the Diplomatic Missions Free Parking Places Order would be to provide additional diplomatic parking places in Belgrave Square and West Halkin Street at which only those vehicles used by the Head and members of staff at diplomatic missions may be left at any time, without charge or time limit, and to revoke a diplomatic parking place in Belgrave Square.   The proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at Hyder Consulting Ltd., 29 Bressenden Place, London SW1E 5DZ, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decide not to make the Orders.   Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Department of Environment and Planning, telephone number 0171-641 1956.   Any objections or other representations about either of the proposed Orders should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, Hyder Consulting Ltd., Third Floor, 29 Bressenden Place, London SW1E 5DZ, quoting reference WES1004/ORD/1630/CJ, until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.
