GREENWICH COUNCIL

The Greenwich Council (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. ) Order 199 

Notice is hereby given that Greenwich Council, hereinafter called the Council, propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The general effect of the Order, would be to further amend the Greenwich (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1994, so that:   (a) waiting restrictions, operative at any time, would be imposed on the lengths of streets specified in the Schedule 1 to this notice;   (b) waiting restrictions operative between 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive, and between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sundays would be imposed on the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 2 to this notice;   (c) the existing waiting restrictions on the length of Park Vista specified in Schedule 3 to this notice, which are operative between 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive, and between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sundays, would now become operative at any time.   Details of exemptions from the restrictions for certain vehicles and persons, together with restrictions on selling or advertising in a restricted street are contained in the original Order of 1994.   Persons having a query concerning the proposal should contact Development Services on 0181-854-8888, extension 5587.   A copy of the proposed Order, the Order being amended and the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order, together with plans showing the locations can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Development Services, Greenwich Council, Peggy Middleton House, 50 Woolwich New Road, Woolwich SE18 6HQ.   A copy of the proposed Order and plans showing the locations can also be inspected at all local libraries.   Any person desiring to object to the proposed Order or make other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to the Council’s Agents, TMO Services, 9 Osprey Close, Whitstable, Kent CT5 4DT, quoting reference LBG/1076, by 29th January 1998.   Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this notice, open to public inspection. Schedule 1

  Park Row, the north-east side, between the north-western kerb-line of Park Vista and a point 6 metres south-east of a point opposite the south-easternmost wall of No. 1 Park Vista.    Park Vista, the north-west side, between the north-eastern kerb-line of Park Row and a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 27 and 28 Park Vista.

Schedule 2

  Greenwich Park Street, the north-east side between the north-western kerb-line of Park Vista and a point 18 metres north-west of that kerb-line.   the south-west side between the north-western kerb-line of Park Vista and a point 9 metres north-west of that kerb-line.   Park Vista, the north-west side, between a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 10 and 11 Park Vista and a point 15 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Greenwich Park Street.

Schedule 3

  Park Vista, the north-west side, between the south-western kerb-line of Maze Hill and a point 18.29 metres south-west of that kerb-line. 8th January 1998.
