Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that The Kirtland Family Trust, of Charity House, Austrey, near Atherstone, Warwickshire, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole in the Bromsgrove Sandstone, at National Grid Reference SK 3016 0669, Charity House, Austrey, in the Parish of Austrey, Atherstone District of Warwickshire.   The proposal is to abstract water at the following combined rates: 15 cubic metres per hour, 360 cubic metres per day, 65,700 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for the augmentation of an unnamed stream to ensure the maintenance of a suitable habitat for flora and fauna.   A copy of the application and any maps, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Charity House, Austrey, between 8th January and 13th February 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the applications should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Licensing Section, Sentinel House, Wellington Crescent, Fradley Park, Lichfield, Staffordshire WS13 8RR, before the end of the said period.
