Notice of application for a licence to abstract water
Take notice that Roe Acre Dyeing & Finishing Co. Ltd, of Crimble Mill, Crimble Lane,
Heywood, Lancashire, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract
water from an unnamed tributary of the River Roch at National Grid Reference SD 8675
1145, at land at Crimble Mill, Heywood.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 20 cubic metres per hour,
455 cubic metres per day, 118,300 cubic metres per year. The water will be used in
a process of manufacture and used to supplement and assist existing water supplies.
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with
it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Crimble Mill, Crimble
Lane, Heywood, between 15th January 1998 and 15th February 1998.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so
in writing to the Environment Agency, North West Region, Mirwell, Carrington Lane,
Sale M33 5NL, before the end of the said period.
